The Meeting Broadcaster is ideal for Government Council meetings,
board meetings, or any event that benefits from live and on-demand
video streaming.
Importantly, the
Meeting Broadcaster
"marks" your video
in real time.
While your event is
happening, you can
insert navigation
points to make it
easy for your
viewers to rapidly
find the portion of
the recorded event
that they wish to
see.
Town Council
Example
- Prior to the
meeting, a clerk
imports the
agenda using
simple
copy/paste
- At the start
of the meeting,
the clerk
presses the
"Start Live"
button to begin
live streaming.
The clerk
presses the
"Record" button
to begin
recording.
(You can stream,
stream and
record, or
record only).
- During the
meeting, the
clerk simply
clicks on an
agenda item, or
types in a new
item in real
time
- After the
meeting, the
clerk stops
streaming and/or
recording
- Live viewers
can watch the
meeting via a
built-in web
page that shows
the video and
(optionally) the
formal agenda.
The current
agenda item is
displayed in
real time.
-
Video-on-Demand
viewers can
watch the
meeting via a
built-in web
page that shows
the video and
optionally the
formal agenda.
They may select
any agenda item
to instantly
navigate to that
portion of the
video.
Simplicity
The system is
fully automatic.
The user need only
enter some details
about the meeting
and select "Start
Live", "Record", and
"Stop". A
non-technical clerk
or other operator
can be trained in
minutes.
Navigation
Viewers don't want to sit through a 2-hour online recorded video
of a meeting just to find out what happened about a particular
agenda issue. They can easily become frustrated trying to move
a "slider bar" to find what they are looking for. The Meeting
Broadcaster provides a convenient "drop down" list that shows each
agenda item. The viewer need only select it and the video
instantly plays at that point.
Built-In Viewing Pages
The system provides two viewing page styles: with an agenda, or
without. If you include an agenda, the system uploads your PDF
document and displays it on a web page next to your video.
Without an agenda, the system displays your video-only, and still
provides navigation capabilities
The system automatically lists your live event, when available,
on your private "landing page", and lists all of your recorded
meetings in sequential order. Viewers need only go to your
private landing page (you provide a link on your web site) to view
any live or recorded meeting.
Hybrid Technology
The Meeting
Broadcaster uses
hybrid web
technology.
The program itself
is installed on your
Windows PC and it
communicates with a
VBrick encoder that
streams your
meeting. It
communicates with
the Discover Video
web server to set up
all necessary
parameters, so you
don't have to.
And it manages your
recorded videos on
your Discover Video
Streaming account.
This hybrid approach
provides higher
reliability than
pure web-based
solutions that wont'
work if your
internet connection
is down or
experiencing
difficulty.
