 The Soft Top Box Player allows you to display virtually any live WM, H.264, MPEG1 or MPEG-2 video stream full screen on a computer monitor (or on any TV when using our Decoder Computer) under your remote web page control. The STB also downloads your video files and allows you to play them upon command, and even mix live video and stored/download video files in your own playlist.TV Station Remote Broadcasting With a STB in your studio and a DVME (or other live video source) at a remote location, your live video will appear on the STB automatically, making live remote broadcasting a snap. Video Signage Just specify your MPEG-2 (.mpg),Windows Media (.wmv), or H.264 (.mp4) video files in your STB control panel and the STB will download these files, including stunning High Definition video. Create a simple playlist and your videos will play in the order you specified and repeat. Ideal for kiosk displays, lobbies and similar. Mix a match live video with your local video in your playlist. Use STB Anywhere Insert a cellular modem in your computer (or use our inexpensive display computer) and carry on -- the STB will play your live video and your file-based vides as you command. Change it any time, on-the-fly. Text, Web, Images At any time, you can display a web page full screen, or type in a short text message such as "Please Standby" or "There is an emergency". You web page can be whatever you like (e.g. discovervideo.com), or your own privately crafted web page.  Your Hardware Or OursThe STB runs on a Windows computer. Most modern computers don't have an analog composite video output, which is fine if you intend to display on computer monitors. But for TV stations and video-centric applications, you may want to avoid the cost and complexity of using a "scan converter" just to produce composite video. For this we offer our Decoder Computer -- a small, tabletop computer with Windows 7 and the STB installed and ready-to-go. The Decoder Computer gives you VGA & composite video output, along with analog (mini-jack) stereo audio. Local or Web Control You can use the STB without web control by typing in the one video address you want the STB to play. But the real power comes from using the optional web control account that allows you to control your STB from a password-protected control page on our servers. The web control page allows you to:
 Video SwitchThe STB can remotely command our 4-port audio/video switch. This allows you to remotely switch your video source anytime. For example, let's say your "normal" video feed is connected to port 1, the STB video is connected to port 2, and a standby video source is connected to port 3. At any time, you can command the switch to use port 2 when you are doing a remote live broadcast and set it back to port 1 when you are done. You can set the switch to use port 3 in the event your primary video from port 1 becomes unavailable. The video switch connects to the STB computer via RS232 (or USB adapter).
