Case Study:  Delivering Church Services and Programs to Internet Viewers

Challenge:
The Office of Radio and Television (ORTV), archdiocese of Hartford, televised its daily church services and programs on a local TV station.   The challenge was to deliver the same content on the Internet, both live and on-demand.   

Solution:
Discover Video provided ORTV with the DVME software encoder and Internet streaming and storage services.  The DVME allows ORTV to stream each program live in high resolution and full motion to viewers on PCs, Macs, mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones, and TVs via Roku boxes.   The streams are also recorded using the DV scheduling system and made available as Video on Demand.  Now, ORTV can reach many additional viewers on various mobile devices and in many geographic locations.
